Curriculum and Resources
Below is our standard program curriculum, which has been successfully implemented across our reading mentorship sessions to provide a consistent and meaningful experience for both mentors and young readers. Designed to strengthen literacy, critical thinking, and confidence, the curriculum combines guided reading, discussion, vocabulary-building, and creative reflection in a structured format that has helped students stay engaged while building lasting positive associations with books.

Below are some of the books we have been reading in our Singapore American School sessions, carefully chosen to be age-appropriate, engaging, and rich in themes that encourage discussion, creativity, and critical thinking. We select titles across a range of genres and perspectives so that students can discover stories that spark curiosity, build empathy, and make reading both meaningful and enjoyable.
